Wolfe Meets the Family

Wolfe Meets the Family

Wolfe met most of the family in the hospital- John and Joy (Kurt's parents) came to visit Wolfe and Dave and Cindy (Amy's parents) were out from Buffalo and stayed at the hospital a lot those first few days giving Mom and Dad some much needed rest.  Cousin Ted also came by the hospital to visit.  Mom, Dad, and Wolfe came home from the hospital after three nights on Thursday July 29th.  It was great to be home, Wolfe met his big sister Sarah and her mom, Michelle.  Wolfe adjusted well to life at home those first couple of weeks allowing Grandpa and Grandma to hold him for long stretches.  For Mom those first couple weeks were a blur, recovering from the c-section and stress of labor overall combined with feeding and taking care of Wolfe was rough.  The days consisted of being in bed a lot, with the night feedings we would stay in bed until late morning and napped and fed him throughout the day.  Short walks in the evening were about all we got out the first month...not that we felt like doing much more.  The first two months+ is recovery and bonding time and best not to plan on doing anything else for that time.  Wolfe is lucky to have such a great family and was happy to be home!
