Wolfe's 2nd Christmas

Wolfe's 2nd Christmas

Hard to believe Wolfe is 16 months now and this is his second Christmas!  Mom has really been slacking on keeping on the blog, weeks seem to go by like days and I can't believe the year is almost over.

He had a good Halloween and dressed up as Viking.  We were all a little under the weather, but still made it out for some trick or treating.  He's a smart little guy and seemed to understand the walking up to houses and getting candy routine. Click on arrows to view Halloween pictures below.

He took two trips back to Buffalo this fall to see the family and had a lot of fun on both trips.  He liked playing with an old farm house that made a "Mooo" sound when you opened and closed the barn door so much that we got him a farm house for Christmas back in Denver that he loves playing with.  He also like going down the slide and picking up and carrying pumpkins around the yard.  Click on images to view in larger window.

Wolfe has grown a ton recently and no longer looks like a little baby.  He's pretty steady walking and running now and loves to climb on everything and doesn't understand yet that he can't just run off the couch.  He's starting to say a lot more words and communicate more, although there is also a lot of whining when he wants something and doesn't know the words.  Some of his favorite words are Moo, apple, more, and no.  He's gotten very good at an assertive little no when he doesn't want something.  He repeats what he hears and he hears a lot of no so I've been trying to say "yes" and "why" and teach him other words.  He also says "good boy" because he hears that a lot, but mom and dad may be the only ones that understand when he says it.

Although he has a bunch of toys he really like the pots and pans and recently started playing with a small broom and dust pan we have and sweeping.  He also helps dad take out the garbage and rearranges the pantry.  I have a feeling he's going to be a greater helper around the house when he gets older!  He loves things that fit together like the top on a pan or cap on sunscreen or the wipes that click when you open and close them.  Click on images to view in larger window.

We're traveling to Martinque and Guadeloupe for the holidays this year, so celebrated early at home with the kids.  Wolfe really liked opening presents and got a huge coloring book and crayons that he really liked, a new bike, a farmhouse, and some musical instruments.  Click on images to view in larger window.

He is eating more big people food these days and can kind of use a spoon.  We're trying to work more on veges as he really likes cheese, yougart, hot dogs, meatballs, and fruit.  Surprisingly he's not big on carbs. Here's the BigDar after eating yougart!

Will have to update you again after our trip.  Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and Happy New Year!
